ALI GOCMEN, ME MSc, MBA, PMP, P. Eng.

Construction Project Manager
Ali Göçmen graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) – Mechanical Engineering Department in 1982.
 

He has master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from METU in Ankara, Business Administration-MBA from  Northeastern University in Boston, and “Construction  Contracts and Arbitration Law” from Ankara University Law School.

 

He worked as teaching assistant at METU and Northeastern University during his graduate studies.

After working as a mechanical design engineer in engineering companies, he has switched to project management field and managed construction projects like; 12 units of coal firing and combined cycle power plant construction projects, oil and gas pipeline projects, cement plants, housing and infrastructure projects with over $300 million budgets and 4,000 employees in Türkiye and different parts of the world as project manager as member of Joint Venture (JV) or  consortium partner with international technology leading companies.

He has PMP certification from PMI in project management, Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) besides Energy Advisor  Certifications and “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” (LEED) Green Associates Credential in Canada.
 

Gocmen, has been actively involved in Chamber of   Mechanical Engineers and METU Alumni Association in Türkiye. He has been living in Toronto since 2015 and  currently working as a project director in a construction company.
