Aybars Görgülü received his PhD in Political Science from Sabancı University in 2013. He completed his undergraduate degree in Social and Political Sciences at Sabancı University in 2005 and his graduate degree in Diplomacy and International Career from Clermont-Ferrand I University in France in 2006.
Aybars Görgülü worked as a Program Manager at TESEV
(Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation) Foreign Policy Program, gave lectures on Turkish foreign policy and Caucasus politics at Istanbul Bilgi University and Istanbul Kultur University and made many publications in these fields.
Görgülü has been working as the General Director of the Public Policy and Democracy Studies Association (PODEM) since 2017. In addition to his civil society activities, he is the founding partner of the Toronto-based foreign trade company E&G International Trade.
In 2022, Levent joined the non-profit organization named TEPAC (Turkish Entrepreneurs and Professionals Association of Canada) as a Board Member and contact person in Quebec Province, with the aim of strengthening the professional and social relations of Turkish people living in here between them and also with the Canadian society.
Levent is father of two boys and is fluent in English, French and Turkish.
